Bricolage Production Company is Pittsburgh's premier immersive theater company, an artist-led organization that expands the boundaries of live performance to create transformative, community-rooted experiences. From the moment I got the full download on who these people are and what their work means to Pittsburgh, I was all in. I absorbed their brand, voice, and identity fast and started showing up with work that felt like it had always belonged there. They give me creative trust and latitude, and I bring my whole self to every project.
My work with Bricolage spans campaign strategy, production key art, social media, eblasts, event promotion, and logo design for specific programming initiatives. For their boldly conceived Samizdat series, site-specific plays staged in breweries and living rooms drawing on the works of Václav Havel and fellow dissident playwrights, I developed a multi-channel campaign rooted in the aesthetic and spirit of Czech revolutionary resistance. Show information was deliberately redacted, revealed only to ticket buyers over time, leaning on audience trust and building intrigue at every turn. It was a campaign with a point of view, and it delivered.
Bricolage's signature Midnight Radio Live programming holds a special place in Pittsburgh's cultural life: a living, breathing homage to 1940s radio broadcasts complete with Foley sound effects, live music, and a distinctly Steel City spin. When they returned to in-person performances with Die Hard N'at, I channeled the legacy of the programming into a campaign that honored it while reaching new audiences. The show sold out before opening. Their follow-up, Christmas Vacatyinz, did the same. Their audience was ready and waiting, and my work met that hunger with the clarity, personality, and creative intention it deserved.
